ZF Wind Power Celebrating India’s First Plant to Reach 50 GW Capacity
ZF Wind Power, a global leader in technology-driven manufacturing and a key player in the wind turbine gearbox industry, has announced a significant achievement in India with the production of 50 GW of gearbox capacity at its advanced manufacturing facility in Coimbatore. Expanding Capabilities to Meet Future Wind Market Demands
As the largest wind gearbox production facility outside of China, the Coimbatore plant’s 50 GW milestone underscores ZF’s early and ongoing commitment to the Indian wind market. In response to growing demand, ZF is investing in long-term strategic enhancements, including expanding its manufacturing capacity from 9 to 12 GW per year and installing a 13 MW test rig. These developments position ZF as a leader in the development and validation of wind technology, contributing significantly to India’s ambition to double its wind power capacity by 2030.
