Sona BLW Precision Forgings Limited (SBPFL), a key player in the automotive manufacturing sector and part of the US$ 800 Million Sona Group, has commenced a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Manesar, Haryana. This marks the company’s third manufacturing plant in India and the seventh globally, joining its other operations in Europe. Officially inaugurated on October 21, 2024, the plant will focus on the production of driveline products, increasing SBPFL’s manufacturing capacity by 30%, further strengthening its position in the global market.
Investment to Drive Job Creation and Local Economic Growth:
With an investment of INR 1,000 million (US$ 12.1 Million) planned over the next two to three years, the new facility will generate approximately 300 new jobs, reinforcing Sona BLW’s role in India’s growing industrial landscape. This expansion aligns with the Government of India’s ‘Make in India’ initiative, underlining the company’s commitment to boosting local sourcing and contributing to the national economy through innovative manufacturing technologies and a focus on exports.
