IESW 2024: Catalyzing India’s Clean Energy Future
India is on the brink of a significant transformation in the energy storage, electric vehicles (EV), and green hydrogen markets, as the India Energy Storage Week (IESW) 2024 announces over Rs 2,000 crore in investment opportunities. Organized by the India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA), this grand event will take place in New Delhi from July 1st to 5th, 2024, and is set to position India as a leading manufacturing hub for clean technologies.
Major Announcements in Energy Storage: New Factories and Technological Advances
Several pivotal announcements are anticipated during IESW 2024, including the launch of VFlowTech’s largest long-duration energy storage facility in Palwal, Haryana. This non-lithium battery plant, initially starting with 100 MWh, aims to expand into a Gigafactory within two years. Nash Energy will showcase its new Li-Ion battery cell manufacturing plant in Karnataka, while BatX Energies will unveil its Battery Recycling & Material Extraction facility, HUB-1. Additionally, Lohum will announce its entry into next-gen ‘Manganese-rich’ Lithium-ion battery technology with support from India’s Ministry of Mines.
A Global Platform for Innovation and Collaboration
IESW 2024 is expected to attract over 150 partners and exhibitors, and more than 1,000 international attendees. The event will also see the signing of over five MoUs, including one between IESA and Powering Australia. With participation from various government ministries, including the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy and the Ministry of Heavy Industries, IESW 2024 stands as Asia’s premier platform for energy storage innovation and sustainable solutions.
