Blue Energy Motors Ltd. has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Maharashtra during the World Economic Forum in Davos, committing ₹3,500 crore to set up a state-of-the-art electric truck manufacturing facility. The initiative aims to strengthen India’s electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem and drive the adoption of sustainable mobility solutions.
Advanced Manufacturing and R&D Capabilities
The new facility will feature cutting-edge infrastructure, including a production capacity of 30,000 electric trucks annually, a battery-pack assembly line, a motor manufacturing unit, and advanced research and development (R&D) facilities. Additionally, it will include dedicated charging infrastructure, with operations set to commence by FY 2025-26. The project is expected to generate over 4,000 jobs, significantly enhancing Maharashtra’s industrial landscape.
