Adani Group’s New Cement and Propellant Production Units Planned in MP

The Adani Group has revealed plans to invest Rs 3,500 crore in establishing new manufacturing units in Madhya Pradesh. Speaking at an event in Gwalior on August 28, Karan Adani, CEO of Adani Ports and SEZ, announced the development of a 2 million tonne cement grinding facility in Guna, alongside a cutting-edge propellant production unit in Shivpuri.

Boost to Local Economy and Job Creation

These two significant projects are set to generate over 3,500 direct and indirect employment opportunities, aligning with the Aatmanirbharta mission to boost India’s defence manufacturing capabilities and reduce dependency on imports. The investment underscores Adani Group’s commitment to fostering economic growth in the region.

Strengthening Madhya Pradesh’s Economic Landscape

With this new investment, Adani Group’s total contribution in Madhya Pradesh will reach Rs 21,750 crore, creating approximately 15,500 jobs. “Gwalior is transforming into a thriving hub for tourism, talent, and trade,” Adani highlighted, emphasizing the city’s potential to attract diverse investments. He also noted that Adani’s defence facility in Gwalior, the largest small arms plant in India, has significantly elevated the city’s status on the global stage.
