Sahaj Solar Limited Secures Major Contract with Border Security Force

Sahaj Solar Limited, a leading player in the renewable energy sector, has successfully secured a substantial contract from the Directorate General Border Security Force (BSF), under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. The contract, valued at approximately Rs 15.54 crore, involves the provision, installation, testing, and commissioning of two 25 kW off-grid solar power plants at BSF Gopalpur and BSF Coochbehar, respectively. This development comes after Sahaj Solar met all requisite conditions, including the acceptance of Bank Guarantees by the relevant department, signaling a significant milestone with the commencement of the project.

Strategic Advances in Manufacturing

In a strategic move to bolster its manufacturing base, Sahaj Solar has initiated talks with Cliantech Solutions and Technologies LLP to set up a new 1.5 GW solar module production line. An initial procurement of 750 MW of solar modules has been confirmed, enhancing the company’s capacity and readiness to meet the escalating demand for solar energy solutions. The completion of the remaining 750 MW is anticipated post the second quarter of 2025, marking a significant enhancement in Sahaj Solar’s production capabilities.

Established in 2010, Sahaj Solar Limited specializes in the manufacture of solar PV modules at their facility in Bavla, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, which boasts a production capacity of 100 MW. The company produces both mono and polycrystalline modules and is known for implementing advanced PERC technology in its offerings. Sahaj Solar is also actively involved in the solar water pumping systems market and provides comprehensive EPC services for various solar projects across India.
