TP Parivart to Set Up Solar Power Plant of 70 MW for Tata Steel in Maharashtra

Tata Power’s significant agreement with Tata Steel

TP Parivart Ltd, a step-down subsidiary of Tata Power, has announced a significant agreement with Tata Steel to develop a 70 MW solar project in Akola, Maharashtra. The initiative aims to generate 154 million units (MUs) of power annually, contributing to a substantial reduction of 1,15,000 tonnes in carbon emissions.

Power Delivery Agreement Finalized

In a recent BSE filing, Tata Power confirmed that TP Parivart Ltd has formalized a power delivery agreement with Tata Steel, one of India’s foremost steel manufacturers. This group captive solar power plant represents a pivotal step in Tata Steel’s commitment to sustainable energy practices.

TP Parivart Ltd operates under Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd (TPREL), a subsidiary dedicated to advancing renewable energy solutions. This project underscores Tata Power’s continued efforts to expand its renewable energy portfolio and support India’s transition to sustainable energy sources.
