StarBigBloc Building Material, a wholly owned subsidiary of BigBloc Construction, has acquired approximately 57,500 square meters of land in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, to establish a greenfield AAC blocks manufacturing facility. The land, located at Khasra No. 382, 387, 389/2, Gram Nimrani, Tehsil Kasrawad, District Khargone, was purchased for ₹60 million, including stamp duty. This expansion aims to enhance the company’s footprint in central India and meet the growing demand for sustainable construction materials.
Expansion Plans & Sustainability Commitment
Currently, StarBigBloc operates a plant in Kheda, Gujarat, with an annual production capacity of 250,000 cubic meters, supplying Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh. With a capacity utilization of 75% in Q3, the company’s planned expansion in Indore will further strengthen its presence in the region. In line with its sustainability goals, the company has also installed an 800 KW solar rooftop power project, reinforcing its commitment to reducing carbon emissions.
Growth Strategy & Future Prospects
BigBloc Construction has also expanded into the construction chemicals segment, launching Block Jointing Mortar, Ready Mix Plaster, and Tile Adhesives under the NXTGRIP, NXTFIX, and NXTPLAST brands. The company is targeting a production capacity increase from 250,000 cubic meters per annum to over 1.2 million cubic meters per annum in the next 4-5 years.
To support this growth, the board approved fund-raising via SME IPO or preferential issue, subject to market conditions. The company projects revenues of ₹4.28 billion by FY27-28, with an expected EBITDA of ₹1.25 billion and a net profit of ₹800 million, following a strong revenue CAGR of over 21% in the past four years.
